Chris Redden, LPC
I have been in the counseling field for eight years and hold a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education, a Master’s Degree in Theology, and am currently in the process of becoming nationally certified as a sex therapist. Though our faith and our sexuality can often seem at odds with one another, my unique situation as trained in both areas provides me with a framework I can use to help any challenges that arise from the intersection of these two potentially important components of life. I specialize in relationship issues, sexuality and sexual health, and issues surrounding faith, but I have experience and am comfortable working with clients facing most challenges.
The American Counseling Association has publicly opposed reparative therapy. As a member of this association and according to my personal belief system, I do not engage in reparative therapy.
I use a variety of modalities and techniques in counseling that are best suited for the client, but I operate from a reality approach with a focus on narrative theory.
Amanda McGraw, PLPC, NCC
I am a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and National Certified Counselor with experience in counseling couples, groups, and individuals of all ages. I am also a certified facilitator for SYMBIS premarital counseling. I earned my MS in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University.
I approach counseling from an integrative perspective that draws from cognitive behavioral, reality, solution-focused, as well as other therapies. I may also incorporate a family systems approach. For younger clients, I use a play therapy experience. I incorporate a holistic approach, focusing on a client’s lifestyle physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I may also integrate a Biblical worldview and approach counseling from a Christian perspective for clients who are interested in incorporating this aspect into the counseling process.
